Here's a great "best Guadalajara hotels review" submitted by Kathleen. She was kind enough to let me publish it. Her recommendation begins below..

We loved this hotel, it's across from a cathedral, park and tons of taxis across the street; has a restaurant on the first floor which was very good!

It was mostly nationals that stayed there. We loved Guadalajara and the surrounding small towns!
